Dr. Debashis Chatterjee 

 

Inspired by the life, love and leadership of Dr. Debashis Chatterjee, a handful of Canadians embarked on a journey to engage the hearts and minds of Canada's leaders.

 

The Canadian Centre for Leadership and Human Values marked the beginning of the realization of a dream to LIGHT THE FIRES IN THE HEARTS of leaders throughout this nation and to co-evolve with them, a way of living and leading that can transform organizations and the lives of the human beings who make them possible.

 

For several years Linda Moore and Brad Quinn had both been on a journey of curiosity around the conundrum of leadership. Both had a knowing that there was a missing element that would bring a new understanding into focus and both wanted to uncover a way to make a more profound contribution in their support of leaders.

 

The Centre has touched hundreds of lives and influenced dozens of communities...In 2000 Linda met Dr. Debashis Chatterjee. Over the next two years both Linda and Brad were deeply inspired by his wisdom and kindness and his gentle work in helping to bring others to themselves.

 

As a master and pioneer in leadership development and transformational learning, they found his ability to present and explain diverse threads of ancient wisdom to leaders and organizations of today most profound. Acclaimed by Harvard as one of the top 15 thought leaders in the world, his approach opened their thinking to a whole range of possibilities for leadership in Canada and around the world. In a long cab ride back from the foothills of the Himalayas to Delhi in 2003, Brad and Linda made the decision to start the Canadian Centre for Leadership and Human Values. With the love and support of dozens of people and the tireless work of volunteers and board members, the Centre has touched hundreds of lives and influenced dozens of communities and organizations. And it is just now becoming known to the world.

 

Where the story will go? We aren't entirely sure!

 

What we do know is that it will CO-EVOLVE with other leaders who share a belief in the possibility that organizations can transform into communities where human values are at the epicentre of contribution.
